The Imperial Lake View Hotel & Golf Club offers the first 36 hole Golf course in Hua Hin and is a good example of a top quality Hua Hin golf course. The golf course is a favorite with both residents and visitors to the area and is situated a bit inland amongst small farms & pineapple plantations on a large parkland parcel. For many golfers this is the most beautiful course in this region.

The Imperial Lake View original 18 hole championship course is well maintained and lives up to it’s name with small streams in abundance, and a large lake dividing the course in two. This, together with mature trees, blind shots to some greens, undulating fairways and several doglegs, tests the skills of the low handicapper. The long par 3, 14th hole is particularly tricky and features a tee box on a small island and the green at another island 210 yards away - all surrounded by water. There are a number of easy par holes on offer making the course a balanced test of golf also for higher handicappers.

The desert course is uniquely designed to be different in so many ways that each shot must be carefully planned. Mixing these nine holes with those from the main course provides most with an extremely fulfilling round of golf. Lake View has just opened the Links course in late 2006, adding a further nine holes to the existing three courses. Each hole is unique and combined with the Desert course maybe the top course in the Hua Hin and Cha Am areas. A luxury club house at Lake View offers pleasant ambience and good cuisine. Clean and spacious changing facilities, a grass driving range and short game practice areas are available for all golfers. The club house also features a pool with golf course view and spa. An on site 4-star 75 room hotel is a popular option for golf groups from Asia or local expatriates who prefer to play and stay at a full featured golf resort. Hotel residents can also enjoy other sports such as tennis, squash, and badminton in addition to golf.

Good value with the thaigolfer discount: 1400B WD. Great course and well maintained. Only downside where the miserable staff at the green fee counter.

This course has some of the best potential in the entire Hua Hin region and is fantastic to play when it is properly maintained. Driving range that was newly constructed in the last year is in absolute shambles. No signage, weeds everywhere, grass not cut regularly, etc, and the range balls are absolute garbage and management does not seem the least bit interested in doing a thing about it. (Customers pay to hit old junk balls found by caddies?)Overall at Lakeview the staff are extremely pleasant to deal with. Caddies in general are quite good but the course lacks any organization in regards to assigned tee times. I have managed to get in numerous rounds in the last month very early in the mornings (06:00 ish) only to find they have let people out on number 10 tee on the A & B sections instead of number 1 causing numerous back logs. Senior Management of this particular area is extremely poor and again do not seem the least bit concerned? I really love playing this trek when it's taken care of, but the prime season is quickly approaching and they need to get their ducks in a row and take care of business.

I am really sorry that I need to write this, as I have enjoyed this course a lot. In the past month, I have played it 5-6 times as I have shopped for clubs to join in the Hua Hin area. The reason I will not join is that the assistant manager, a man named Khun Pisay, just does not care. This week, they had some problems with slow play due to some five balls they had put out on the course. When I told Pisay that the course was plugged, he simply did not care - "it is a business choice we make" he said. Greens were suffering from traffic in the rain and near the hole was a mess most places, but the slow play problem was because of lack of management. Too bad, but there are many fine courses in the area to choose from besides this one.

Played there last week. Unfortunately, the fairways have turned into cow pastures as they were neither cut nor weeded as they were full of crab grass. Too bad as this use to be a fantastic course. The greens are still in fair shape, but they really need to do something about the fairways.

this used to be a great course a few years ago but maintenance seems to be going downhill. the pro-shop staff could use an attitude adjustment. caddies are great. so is the friendly shuttle service to the parking lot - much appreciated after the long hike! muchas gracias.

Lakeview has the potential to be one of the top courses in the Hua Hin area. Currently the fairways are getting into slightly better shape than early September but the bunkers are absolutly awful on the entire lake course and very poorly maintained or washed out regularly. It is not because the staff don't try, but rather that the management has not implemented any conbination of changes to the steep slopes, poor drainage and improper position on a few that are level with the adjacent water hazards. (Lake Course holes 4 & 17 specifically) Staff is very friendly, and hopefully in this busy season 2007/2008 they will assign a proper start system to maintain the proper speed of play. They could learn a lot by the way Springfield runs this part of the business. Course is definetly a good challenge, greens are difficult overall and the fairways offer numerous sloped lies if you fail to keep it straight. Membership has no real privedledges compared with Springfield and 2007 introduced increased maintenance fees which is completely ok but will hopefully be put to proper use and improve the course like it is designed to do? Overall it is still a very good test of golf for all levels and an enjoyable course to play.

Played A+B course on Monday. Greens are very challenging in almost every holes. Overall conditions are very good. Caddies are knowledgeable. Good marshalling. Played at member price so it's cheap.

Played on November 10th from the back tee's course B & C first flight in early morning. At this time the Personal was not ready for the customers. The Marshals on the course are unfeasible, because we catch up at the back nine some flights which have started here and they are more as slow (Course Management!!) Siggi (Handicap 12)
