Summit Green Valley Chiangmai Golf Club is an excellent, championship caliber 18-hole golf course that is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. It features an abundance of well placed sand bunkers and lots of water that can come into play on nearly every hole on the course.

The fairways are ample and mostly level. The greens are large, receptive to approach shots, and putting speed is moderate to slightly fast. However, course length, numerous elevation changes, and prevailing wind makes Green Valley a tough but fair challenge to golfers of all skill levels.

The course drains exceptionally well during the wet season and benefits from the nearly constant "good air" breeze of the Mai Rim area. The beautiful clubhouse provides full features and service: a polite & professional staff, well-stocked Pro Shop, dining & refreshment areas, locker room facilities, and luxurious health spa services.

I played this course on a Sunday in early Dec. As we were six balls, we asked to play together and it was granted on condition that we took buggies. I reluctantly agreed cos it cost us a total of 2650 B per pax. When we got onto the blue tees, we were chased off by a fierce female caddy mistress, who in her mixture of Thai and English, told us we could play blue only if everyone could carry a 260-yard fairway bunker. What a condition!!!! So we played white and it was good too bec the blue tees were over-whelming. The second hole I will always remember - a forest in front to carry with a wood, after which there a short landing zone about 190 yds from tee box, then a huge bunker awaits. On the right of the forest, a stream. Real signature hole!

Very beautiful golf course ! I had an early tee time and had no hold ups at all. Very friendly staff and a well laid out course, definately worth playing.

If there is a heaven on earth it must be named Chiangmai Green Valley Country Club.I have been coming to Thailand for the last three years and this is the best golf course I have played in the country. I have played golf courses all over the US and this one ranks in the top 5 of all of the courses I have played

Played again recently to check if anything happened. As expected the course is destroyed and not playable at all... blame it on who you want but the management there (if any) shoud quicky move back far away from a golf environment as they obviously don't know a thing.

Old course. Play like you play in Bangkok. Not high slope, too flat. Too easy to play compared with other new course in Cheing Mai like Gussun, and Highland. Don't waste your time for Bangkok Golfer to visit this couse. You can find it in Bangkok area. Let's try other ones.

I am a member and live at Green Valley CM...so I can separate fact from fiction. It appears that many comments below were made in error as the writers were obviously referring to the sister Rayong course and not the Chiang Mai course (there are no 'hills'and no 'sea breezes' at GVCC CM). It is definitely not the best course in CM!! Fairways tend to be hard pan and the greens run a tad sandy. Bunkers are OK and are generally raked. The driving range sorely needs a major overhaul. The practice tee area is badly pitted with divots and there are never sufficient balls on hand. The balls are hand-picked and washed. The practice sand trap needs to be refilled with new sand and manicured. My conclusion is that this course is being marginally maintained with no investment being made by the owners. They have touted a new, huge sports club but construction has ceased with no noticeable work in over 6 months. Golfers might enjoy a better game at Royal CM or at the new CM Highlands course. The only redeeming aspect of GVCC CM are the friendly and expert caddies.

After playing Mountain Shadow the day before where we had a disaster this course was just pure delight. Really could not fault anything. We were 9 players and each one thought it was the second best course we had ever played in Thailand after Royal Rachaburi. Would love to be a member at such a great course !!

I played it 2 weeks ago. The course could be in better shape, but for being a semi private it club it isn't bad. They could have a better clubs to rent. All they had were grpahite clubs that would have been better suited for an 60 year old golfer. The caddies are really helpful.

Played here May 4. utter disappointment! Poor conditions of tees and fairways. Greens ok. This idiot lady starter on 1st tee didnt allow anyone to start on 10th (which had no one!) so 20 golfers were queuing on 1st. Ridiculous! Royal Chiang Mai beats this course anyday!

I played here 5 times,I still think it's the best course in Thailand, even in Asia. We stayed 1 night and played 18 holes, and had dinner and breakfast, it's worthy.
