One of the best courses in Thailand, or for that matter, Asia. Layout is extremely well designed and very challenging, yet fair. Course was in impeccable shape from tee to green. Excellent range and practice areas, too. Caddies were not particularly good or knowledgeable, but that was the only blemish on an otherwise fantastic golf experience.

My group of 14 played on this superb course 15/2/2006.Absolutely no complaint on the course except on the hole index. The best amongst the 4 different courses we played even though relatively new course. Will probably be even better when the trees mature.

Played 10/3/06. Excellent design and condition even though opened for play only 3 months.Greens and fairways are near perfect and the scenery is something to behold. Will definitely play here again on my next visit to Chiang Mai. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

A Beautiful club with unlimited potential. Played 3 times since March and everything keeps getting better. Unfortunately no clubhouse yet but things run smooth from the temporary set up. Fast greens good grass conditions and lots of bunkers.

This golf course is very new, the caddies need to be taught more about golf. Worth to give it a try

Finally a great new club for Chiangmai! Caddies in our group were into the game and made our day terrific. The driving range is unlike any in Thailand, beautiful grass tee and several putting greens. A little far from the city but worth the price and the drive. Nice people, too.

Hard to believe this course is only 2 months old! Great condition and beautiful scenery. Caddies not bad for a brand new course.

Its a long way from town, and it sure feels like the middle of nowhere. The clubhouse is somebody's holiday home, the caddies haven't got a clue, and the course is too tricked up.

I'm a friend of "Rookie to C' Mai". I agree that the course, caddies and such added to our experience but the price didn't. These rates are okay for BKK but for C' Mai and C' Rai its too much to play regularly.

Good course. Same management as Muang Kaew in BKK. Course, clubhouse(not finished 100%), service, caddies seems like Muang Kaew. Oh, and the fairways are perfect.

Best club in Chiangmai.... Played during 960Baht promotion, good deal. Course was a little wet, greens firm, difficult bunkers, friendly service from starters and proshop. Course was busy but speed mangaged well - 4 hrs 20 minutes

A really enjoyable place to play golf. Terrific potential, could be the best in Chiangmai.

If you can only play one round in Chiang Mai, play this course. Excellent condition, service, caddies...everything. Very nice.

Excellent. Best couse in the North, beating Santiburi by far. Course design is look like Muang Keaw (Bangna, Bkk), but in a very condition. Plenty of bunker (more than 200 bunkers) longside the hillside fairway. Fairway is like you play on the carpet. Green is pretty fast (fastest I've ever played). Only the clubhouse is not finished yet. But, after finishing, it would be pretty nice. You must try this couse. PS : My handicap is 6, but my score is 43-47 at this course (very challenging course), while I hit 37-37 at Cheing Mai Green Valley.

It's a very interesting course especially from black tee.. condition was good despite the raining season.. caddies lack knowledge on reading greens but not an issue.

I am a Chiangmai local and I play Highlands about 3 - 4 times per month. The course has been in fantastic condition since it opened. I don't like to book a caddy so I get a different one each time out and I believe they are improving considerably. I read most of the blogs on this site for CM courses so I understand golfers concerns but in this case the entire property is improving from the caddies through the restaurant service. The housing project will be interesting to see if they can sell out. Thailand has a reputation for never quite following through on these types of projects.

Esthetically the course is beautiful set amidst the rolling foothills 20 minutes from Chiangmai. After playing a few holes one gets the impression that the designer got a little carried away. There are more than 100 bunkers (not samll ones) on this course. Given that the greens are new it is close to impossible to keep the ball on the green. Approach shots that come up short stop dead and ones that land on the green bounce off the back and often into a bunker. The course is pretty much unplayable. I am a 6 handicap and I managed to keep the ball on only three greens. Hopefully the course will mature better but without some more thought put into the design this course will be very frustrating for anyone with a 10 handicap or higher.
