The City Cafe possesses a warm pleasing atmosphere. The menu includes an excellent selection of typically Northern style dishes as well as a range of Regional and International meals. In the evening the mood is friendly and relaxing with live music and soft lights.

The Buatong Room is both spacious and attractively furnished. Modern technical equipment is on hand for business seminars. The venue is well suited to handle various styles of social or business events for groups ranging between 100-300 people. The hotel also possesses several smaller rooms designed to host more intimate occasions.

Was in BP Chiang Mai City Feb 6 2005. Swimming pool is STILL under repair (and doesn´t look like it will reopen very soon, saw no signs of progress whatsoever). The swimming pool should not be promoted as a feature on their website. Apart from that hotel is acceptable. And indeed, rather out of the way (quite a long walk to Tha Phae Gate, where most of the nightlife and restaurants are located).

Quite satisfying, though it was a bit of a letdown to find out simple requests such as having a double bed could not be aceded to. Room was a bit dark, but location convenient to most major sites.

This is the 2nd year I have stayed here during the sold out Song Kran holiday, mostly because it was available and more affordable. They raise the rates if you try to book with them directly during this time and when I tried to add an extra day at the same rate I got online they wanted 50% more! I checked several rooms and they are not all the same, some have better beds than others... there is not a lot to do in walking distance, but there are some of the more famous Wat´s you can walk to. As of April 05 they now have Karaoke style entertainment in the restaurant at night.. but there are still no customers there as the food is overpriced and not very good...

We stayed at BP Chiangmai City Hotel in February 2005. The rooms were adaquate. Clean, but a little dingy feeling. When we tried to book an extra night they said a rate that was triple what it cost booking over the internet. The location is not ideal, we spent alot of time walking trying to find markets to shop at and places to eat. Finely we gave up and hired a taxi. The highlight for us were the massages in the loby.

The location was a little outta of the way from shopping and food etc...but otherwise good for price. Our airport transfer arranged through the site did not arrive and there was some confusion around that. Also the pool is undergoing extensive renovations and is not funtioning

Staff at the reception are always helpful to answer my queries. As it is my first time travel to Bangkok, BP Chiang Mai Hotel did give me very good impression during my short stay. I´ll recommend the hotel to my friends when they plan to travel to Chiang Mai.
