Program 1 : Elephant Trekking , Lanta Old Town , View Point , Kayaking, Saladan Village
Itinerary 08:30 -09:00 Leave from hotel in Koh Lanta by car to elephant camp.
09:00 -10:00 Enjoy elephant trekking in the jungle
10:20 -11:20 Visit Lanta Old Town a 100 year old Chinese fishing village which used to be the Island's main town.
11:30 -12:30 Lunch at View Point and take amazing photos of the island's east coast.
12:45-13:45 Start paddling kayaks along the east coast mangrove forest , great for those interested in seeing monkeys and different kind of animals.
14:00 -15:00 Arrive at Saladan village visit and experience every day life of a Sea Gypsy (There are three Sea Gypsy villages : Saladan Village , Klong Dao Village , Sang Ga U Village.). Plenty of time for wandering and shopping in the town.
15:00 -15:30 Guests are safely transferred back to their hotels
Saladan Village is a small commercial town consisting of around 50 shops, travel agencies, dive shops, mini marts, chemists (pharmacists), health centre, banks, post office and the boat piers. There are seafood restaurants overlooking the sea and coffee shops that offer great coffee and delicious baked products.
Lanta Old Town is the first and most historical town located on the east side of the island. It used to be the center of sea trading between the locals and Chinese Sampan boat. The old town now displays the old Chinese style houses on the shore and reveals the relaxing atmosphere and peaceful life of the Chinese people along the two side of the street.
A must see is Viewpoint Hill it has breathtaking views of smaller islands off the coast of Koh Lanta and spectacular sunrises. There are also a couple of excellent restaurants here too. The View Point is located on the crossed hill between the west and east side of Koh Lanta, along the main road.
